How To Apply?
Admission for General Nursing & Midwifery course for a period of three (3) years, the candidate must meet the following requirements
- 10+2 or equivalent qualification with not less than 45% marks at the qualifying examination & English individually from any recognized board.
- 10+2 with English having 45% of marks in vocational ANM course from the school recognized by INC.
- 10+2 with English having 45% of marks in vocational stream-health care science from a recognized CBSE board/state/centre.
- Registered ANM with pass mark.

- 1. Admission of students shall be once a year
- 2. Students shall be single females who are medically fit with sound moral character & aptitude for nursing.
- 3. Minimum age for admission will be 17 years (as on 31st December of that year). The upper age limit is 35 years.
- 4. The student shall be able to follow classroom instructions in English.
- 5. It is mandatory for all the candidates to appear in the GNM Entrance Exam conducted by SSUHS, Guwahati, Assam. Details of the Entrance Examination including eligibility criteria & requirements are available at the University website: www.ssuhs.in
- 6. Candidates called for a personal interview shall bring with them all the original certificates.
- 7. Selected candidates will ensure the seats by depositing Rs 10,000/- (Ten Thousand only) as security money, which will be counted towards their academic fees but not refundable.
Attested copies of the following documents must be attached to the Application Form:
- 1. Admit Card, Mark Sheet & School Leaving Certificate of HSLC and 10 + 2.
2. Birth Certificate.
3. Caste Certificate. (if any)
4. Permanent Residential Certificate.
5. ID Proof. (Aadhaar card mandatory)
6. Medical Fitness Certificate.
7. Migration Certificate. (if the candidate’s 10+2 passing Board/Council is not from Assam) - 8. Scorecard of GNM Entrance Exam.

Points to be noted
- 1. Books & Mess fees are liable to be changed every year.
- 2. Fees has to be paid in the beginning of each academic year.
- 3. Mess fees need to be paid in two installments.
